Bennett is a expert at equipping leaders, teams, and organizations to do brilliant work together. As an an executive and team coach, and organizational effectiveness consultant his mission is to unlock brilliance in teams and leaders. He brings practical frameworks, incisive processes, and inclusive tools that help clients create meaningful, sustainable change.
His work is rooted in the belief that clarity, ownership, and shared purpose drive high-performing, healthy teams and organizations.
With more than 25 years of experience, Bennett has guided leaders and teams across a wide spectrum—from Fortune 100 C-suites to small businesses, nonprofits, universities, and public-sector organizations.
He previously served as Vice President of HR at T-Mobile USA, where he led the Talent and Organization Capability function through strategic transformations, including a reinvention of the HR operating model and multiple M&A events. Earlier leadership roles at Sun Microsystems, Volkswagen of America, Ford Motor Company, and the Silicon Valley startup Model E shaped his diverse and adaptable perspective on organizational life at all levels.
Bennett is known for his fresh, pragmatic approach to coaching and team development—particularly in complex, cross-functional environments.
His original framework, the Team Elements model, helps teams demystify their experience, navigate conflict constructively, and co-create a path forward where every voice matters.
He is also the author of The Team Discovered: Dialogic Team Coaching (Bushe-Marshak Institute, 2020), a practical guide for coaches and leaders seeking to deepen team dialogue and capability.
Bennett holds two master’s degrees—one in Counseling from Michigan State University and one in Political Science from Tulane University—as well as a bachelor’s degree from Calvin University. He frequently shares his insights as a guest speaker at institutions such as UCLA, Pepperdine, the University of Washington, and Simon Fraser University.
He lives in the Seattle area with his partner, where they enjoy cooking, gardening, and cherishing time with their extended families.
