Team Health Assessment

Get insights to improve team culture

All teams can benefit from becoming more self-aware about their team dynamics. Our team health assessment makes it easy to gather feedback from team members and stakeholders about the team’s effectiveness and uncover key areas to improve team health.

More than data, we provide expert analysis and facilitated conversations to build shared ownership in the team. So, it’s not just up to you to foster team culture. You’ll empower your team to improve how they work together and foster more psychological safety, belonging, and clarity.

Recommended for teams with 5-30 team members.

Key Outcomes

  • Shared understanding about how the team is working together.

  • Shared ownership and commitment to improve team culture and processes.

  • More psychological safety, belonging, clarity, and team cohesion.

Testimonials

Develop your team through insight and action.

Managers are often unaware of issues within the team simply because team members and stakeholders don’t have a platform to express themselves.

We capture feedback on team performance from the team manager, team members, and stakeholders (users/customers, partners, and leaders) to provide a more holistic picture of team health.

Engagement surveys often leave you with a bunch of data and you’re left trying to put the pieces together. We give you all the data, PLUS real insights and clear recommendations based on expert analysis. We help you have a conversation with your team to clarify actions to improve team health. We make it easy to take action to become a better team!

We believe team development is a cyclical process where teams build shared awareness for how the team is working together, address issues together, and then reassess and continue learning.

This program provides a structured process for the team to learn and take action to improve how they work together. You decide how much support you want through the process.

Step 1) Assessment and Report

You’ll enroll your team members (including the team manager) and internal stakeholders (e.g. partners, users, customers, leaders who have a stake in your team’s outputs) in the assessment. Team members and selected stakeholders take the assessment to provide feedback on the team’s effectiveness, from their perspective. The survey takes 5-20 minutes to complete.

The assessment measures research-based items including: psychological safety, reliability, clarity, execution, and belonging, and collects feedback through open-ended comments to provide a picture of team health. We also include a team-promoter score so you know whether folks would recommend your team to others!

Each team member will receive the same report to build shared understanding and ownership. The report breaks out the feedback by role (team member and stakeholder) so you get a clear and holistic picture of your team’s strengths and areas of opportunity. We make it super easy to know where to take action!

Step 2) Discovery Interviews

If you want to uncover more about the underlying issues and support your team to make real change, we’ll interview members of the team 1:1 and then present back the themes/findings from those interviews to provide additional context. Teams really value this element, as each conversation is an intervention in itself --- helping people feel heard and prepare to make real change.

“We got 10x the value from the discovery interviews! Those conversations had immediate impact, and really enabled team members to feel heard and start shifting their mindsets and behaviors.” — Roey Dor, CEO and Co-Founder at Obligo

Step 3) Manager Debrief

You’ll meet with a Regroup Coach for 60-minutes to debrief your report and the findings from the interviews. You’ll learn more about your team’s areas to celebrate and areas of opportunity, as well as walk through the team debrief session agenda. In this coaching session, you’ll gain further understanding into your team’s current team dynamics, as well as what areas to focus on to improve your team’s health.

Step 4) Team Debrief

It’s important to talk together as a team to get on the same page and determine next steps. Your Regroup Coach will facilitate a 3-4 hour interactive team conversation to help your team explore current team dynamics and ideas to improve team health. The team will leave with a shared understanding for the current state of the team and a few actions or agreements to improve how the team works together.

This facilitated session will foster more psychological safety and ownership for the team culture. By focusing on “how” the team works together, you’ll help your team be intentional about their dynamics and culture.

We also allow you to fully participate as a member of the team! Workshops can be virtual or in-person. We manage all the logistics to make it an engaging and productive session.

Step 5) Retake the Assessment

After your team debrief, you and your team will start addressing your team development areas of opportunity. In 6-9 months, we’ll invite your team to retake the assessment to help you stay on track and evaluate progress. Retaking the assessment also reinforces the message that you care about team health.

We’ll then meet with the team again to review the report and determine next actions to continue improving as a team.

Developing as a team is a journey, not a one-and-done event. And we’re here to support you! We recommend taking the team health assessment every 6-12 months to check in on the team dynamics, and having regular retrospectives about how the team is working together.
